The news foodies are waiting for, the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival will be back for another serving in 2024. Once again held over three delicious days from Friday, 23 August until Sunday, 25 August 2024, the festival will release a headliner and program later in the year.
2023 Is A Wrap!
From celebrity chefs to pop-up bars, local produce, and live entertainment, the annual Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival proved it’s got all the ingredients for the perfect foodie festival, as it cements itself as Southeast Queensland’s tastiest event on the calendar. More than 20,000 foodies enjoyed to-notch bites and sips along as they rubbed shoulders with celebrity chefs, listened to live music across five stages, and sampled the delights of Moreton Bay’s amazing food bowl over three scrumptious days (4-6 August 2023).
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Peter Flannery says the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival once again demonstrated why it’s the number one foodie destination on the culinary calendar, and the crowd numbers speak for themselves.
"Three days of sold-out activities with capacity crowds celebrating the food and lifestyle we love here in Moreton Bay is the perfect postcard for our region city.
But more importantly to me was the number of locals I bumped into in the festival precinct, who were discovering the postcard-perfect setting of Woody Point for the first time.
Moreton Bay’s billion-dollar tourism industry is on the rise, with 4.3 million visitors coming here annually which is more than double the total visitor numbers to Noosa.
But events aren’t just important to our economy, they bring vibrancy to suburbs across City of Moreton Bay and give residents a reason to see the beauty we have here in our own backyard.”
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism CEO, Natassia Wheeler said the festival brought together locals and visitors to sip, savour, mix and mingle their way through some top culinary experiences over the weekend.
